Positions
From dodWiki
A player can assume different positions within the game, e.g. standing, sitting, or resting. There are a total of fourteen positions in the game. These positions are in a special order. If position b is below position a on the list, that indicates that while in position b, you have more physical or mental energy to spend on a task, be it a command, a spell, or a skill. For example, while standing, you have a greater ability to do things than while sitting. While fighting evasively, you have more options than while fighting aggressively.
The ordered list is as follows:
- 0 - Dead
- 1 - Mortally Wounded
- 2 - Incapacitated
- 3 - Stunned
- 4 - Sleeping
- 5 - Fighting (Berserk)
- 6 - Resting
- 7 - Fighting (Aggressive)
- 8 - Sitting
- 9 - Fighting (Standard)
- 10 - Fighting (Defensive)
- 11 - Fighting (Evasive)
- 12 - Standing
- 13 - Mounted
rest sit sleep stand wake
These commands change your position. When you rest, sit, or sleep, you regenerate hit points, mana points, and movement points faster. However, you are more vulnerable to attack, and if you sleep, you won't hear many things happen.
Use the 'stand' or 'wake' command to come back to a standing position. You can also wake other sleeping characters.
