OSTAT

Syntax: ostat <object name or vnum>

The "ostat" command enables a builder to view the current field values of an object present in the game. "ostat" can use either the object's name or vnum.

"ostat" will look for the <object name> on the ground first, then in your inventory, and last in the game with the keyword you specified. The vnum will always ostat what you want. At this point I would like to stress: use vnums when ever possible.

 

Below are two examples of an ostat, the Fields in bold can be edited using oset.

Either ostat sleeves or ostat 5199 could be used

This is an object after ocreate has been used (note some of the field defaults)

Vnum: 5199. Type: trash. Count: 1 Gcount: 1
